In 2004, our founder Hamish moved to the UK from New Zealand and 5 years later opened a local neighbourhood café & restaurant. After 7 years of witnessing the staggering amount of waste produced by just one small establishment, he knew it was time to throw in his apron and don his eco warrior cape and thus, ecoKiwi was born! Hamish's vision was to create eco-friendly products that could replace disposable and plastic-based alternatives. He wanted to make it easy for people to make a difference and leave a lighter footprint on the planet.

We at ecoKiwi are dedicated to creating sustainable products that are both functional and planet-friendly. We believe that by making small changes in our daily lives, we can make a big impact on the environment. And we're not just talking about the products we make, but also how we make them. We're constantly thinking about how we can reduce our own impact and give back to the community

We're thrilled to announce that as of December 2022 alongside our 1% for the Planet pledge, we have partnered with Carbonfund.org and all our cedar products are now carbon neutral. We see this as a small cost of doing business and using the planet's resources. But this is just the beginning of our eco journey, stay tuned for more exciting initiatives from ecoKiwi!
